The flood gates of heaven opened up on the morning of Hendrik and Nicolette’s wedding, but we were truly blessed to have clear skies by the time their wedding started in the beautiful picturesque Paarl. Hendrik and Nicolette got married at the gorgeous Strooidak Kerk on the main street in Paarl. Their wedding reception followed at the lovely Picardie Guest Farm. Hendrik’s aunt owns this gorgeous venue and he grew up visiting this place during his childhood, so it was a perfect setting for having their fairytale wedding. They met each while studying at the University of Stellenbosch and after dating for three and a half years, Hendrik proposed on Christmas Eve last year. Her Christmas gift from him was her engagement ring that was gift wrapped. I started their wedding day photographing Hendrik and his groomsmen getting ready. Nicolette, planned their wedding day very meticulously and it was lovely to have a relaxed bride, being ready and on time for photos when I arrived at the guest house where she was getting ready. She has wonderful friends and bridesmaids in her life, who were very helpful on the day. Nicolette arrived on time at the Church, which was no surprise to her guests. Hendrik and Nicolette were very emotional when they first saw each other in the Church and it was endearing to see how much they love each other. We had fun taking photos after the ceremony at Picardie Guest Farm as they have beautiful scenery to work with, a lovely garden, vineyard and a jetty overlooking Paarl. Hendrik and Nicolette entered the reception venue with their first dance. The evening was a joyous affair celebrating their union with family and friends who love them. It was very special to be part of their big day.
Congratulations again, Mr and Mrs Berg!
